Finally my waiting is over.
PHOTOSHOP CS5 HAS LANDED ON MY CPU!
So, is it worth the wait?
I will test the software during the upcoming days and weeks, and I will report back to you on the matter.
Content Aware Fill
I have been toying around with the new Content Aware Fill function, I am in AVE... This will defiantly be a time saver in my workflow. I see time saving options in this new tool in many matters. from removing unwanted objects to rebuilding empty or damaged image pixels, or a simple repair task.
Spot Healing Brush
I used to love the “Spot Healing Brush” tool but now I must admit to anyone;
I now have a NEW ADDICTION.
This tool have been revamped by adobe and is now incredible, fantastic, marvelous I might even want to use the term MAGNIFICENT, It will let you work miracles much better, faster en easier than ever before. You are now able to heal using the Content Aware technology!
The Down Side
Even though I am exited and have lots of positive words and thoughts on the new Photoshop CS5 I have to say that not everything is “pink” and glamourous about the new version. I wanted to edit a part of an image using the fantastic Liquify function I must have used a million times inside CS3 and CS4. But trouble hit me within the very first few seconds. It seamed my computer stalled. I could move the cursor on the screen but nothing happened on the image. I could not change any other application or exit the liquify filter. After 2-3 minutes I once again was able to use.
CS5 does not run well on my MacPro version 1.1 !
My graphic card is not supported by the new software, witch results in disabling some of the new features like 3D, Rotate etc. The rotate function works within my Photoshop CS4 but not in CS5 - Why Adobe - Why !?!
